Updating our hallway with a new glass globe pendant!
Ever since I shared my hallway update with the new rug and updated gallery wall, I've been on the hunt for a new light fixture. The current one wasn't bad, it just wasn't my style anymore.
On one of my recent lunch break trips to Lowe's, I saw this clear glass light fixture that I thought would be perfect for the hallway. I snapped a picture and asked for your opinion on Instagram and you all seemed to love the light as much as I did.
The next day, I headed back to Lowe's and bought the light!
I LOVED it, but my husband was less than thrilled with my purchase. He HATED it! Somehow I not only convinced him that it would look great, but also to install it for me. I had all intentions of installing it myself, but I think he may have been a little concerned I wouldn't be able to tackle it alone. I mean, I turned off the breaker, what's the worst that could have happened? I had the directions.
In just a few minutes the new light was hung and it totally transformed the space.
I still have to touch up the ceiling, which I'll hopefully get done this weekend.
The pictures just don't do this light justice. The natural light in the hallway is horrible, so getting good quality pictures is nearly impossible. Just trust me when I say that this light is gorgeous in person.
***Update*** I've since made a few changes to our hallway. You can read all about them HERE.
Love the light, and love your Blog! I found you through iHeartOrganizing. It's so exciting to find a new wonderful blog, I can't wait to read away! ;)

Thanks Lora! I love it too, but after about 2 weeks the bulb has already burnt out. Not sure if I would recommened it to others. I guess I'll have to see how another bulb does.
ReplyDeleteIt's GORGEOUS! I hope you have better luck with the next bulb. Maybe the old bulb was just that. Old!

I love the light in your hall. What is your ceiling height in the hall? Would this hang too low with 8 foot ceilings?
ReplyDeleteThank you, Andrea
We have 8 foot ceilings and the lighs doesn't hang too low, it's perfect!
DeleteI love your hallway! Working on ours and this is almost exactly what I had envisioned. What color did you paint the hallway if you don't mind me asking?
ReplyDeleteThank you! The hallway is painted balanced beige by Sherwin-Williams.
DeleteI LOVE it!! What size frames did you use?
ReplyDeleteDid you shorten the chain so that it would hang higher? Was that easy to do? I love this look!
ReplyDeleteThanks Victoria! Yes, we did shorten the chain and it's very easy to do.
DeleteHow do you change out the bulb? Did the second bulb last longer?
