If you don't like sewing or are just starting out then this project is for you! It's not only super easy an inexpensive, but it takes very minimal (and I mean minimal) sewing skills. Seriously, I think it took me at most 5 minutes to sew this $5.00 Tea towel pillow.
It all started on one of my recent HomeGoods trips (you can find the recap on my "Let's Go Shopping" round up). I loved the colors and fringe and knew right away it would make the perfect pillow.
Are you ready for the difficult tutorial? (did you catch the sarcasm?)
1. With right sides together sew hem along each "long" side.
2. Turn pillow right sides out, insert pillow form and hem along fringe.
3. That's it! You now have the perfect tea towel pillow!
I tend to change out my pillows every few months and this tea towel pillow is the perfect quick an inexpensive update!
I have a HUGE pillow collection. I get them at the Goodwill for $1 to $2. No sewing involved - lol.
ReplyDeleteEven better! Gotta love Goodwill 😀
DeleteSUCH a cute idea Katie! LOVE the tassels!

wow good blog
ReplyDeleteCould anybody even envision how easily overlooked details like pillows, bed sheet sets, sofa sheets and shower towels influence our lives? Seemingly insignificant details impact greater subtle elements and frill like cushions and shower towels are those little things which impact your lifestyle.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the great instrucrions
ReplyDeleteI don’t have a crafty bone in my body, but I think I’m going to try this. I absolutely LOVE the towels and also can’t stand how expensive throw pillows are. Plus, you make it look so easy! its a lot better than buying overpriced pillows.
