Hey, hey...happy Monday!
This weekend really didn't go as planned, but when does it ever? We started having septic issues on Friday night, which has now turned into an excavator digging up our backyard as we speak. Yeah, not exactly how I wanted to spend our hard earned money. The good news? At least we will finally be able to flush our toilet and take a shower in our own home. The bad news? I think our basement is going to take a little longer to complete now that we have this unexpected expense. It just goes to show that life doesn't always go as planned. Sometimes you just have to go with the flow and be prepared for the unexpected.
Enough talk, let's get down to more important matters. I love hearing from my reader's and since it seems you all have similar questions, I thought it would be helpful to answer a few in upcoming posts.
WHERE DO YOU GET YOUR LABEL HOLDERS AND PULLS?
One of my absolute favorite places to buy hardware is D. Lawless Hardware. Not only are their pieces great quality, but you can't beat their prices. The pulls that I usually order range any where from $0.53-$.60 a piece.
I have been unable to find them online, but Michaels carries a 4 pack of Artminds bronze pulls for $2.99. A great price, especially paired with a 40% off coupon.
Don't forget to check out the scrapbook aisle too. Reflections makes gold label holders that are perfect for smaller projects.
If you don't have a Michaels in your area you can buy the same bronze pulls from Amazon.
Weathered Wood Boxes
Amazon also sells these metal adhesive bookplates that I love using. They are easy to use (no drilling required!) and update with either spray paint or Rub 'n Buff.
Metal Label Pulls with Fastners
I haven't personally ordered labels or pulls from Etsy, but they have a large selection that's worth checking out. More than likely you'll be able to find unique pieces that you won't find in common brick and mortar stores.
Ebay can be hit or miss, but they are another place that has a great selection of unique hardware. You may be limited on the quantity available, but it's a perfect place to look if you're in need of just a few items.
I'd love to hear from you if you have any other great stores you buy hardware from.
You can e-mail me at Kalberter4@gmail.com and I'd love to help you out!
