It's Friiidddaaayyyy!
Wow, tomorrow is our 11 year wedding anniversary! It feels like yesterday I was a young 22 year old walking down the aisle to make all my dreams come true (cue the cheesy music). It's actually pretty scary how fast time flies by. My kids are now eight and almost six! How in the world did that even happen?
Life has changed so much in the past 11 years.
our house...
our jobs...
our pets...
our friends...
our kids...
our family...
It hasn't always been easy, but I wouldn't trade this life for anything.
Peonies were the only flower we had at our wedding and I love filling our home with fresh blooms from our garden. Not only are they gorgeous, but they are so fragrant and remind me of our special day.
I hate that they only last a few weeks, usually blooming the end of May to the begining of June. Thank goodness our florist was able to keep them alive and looking beautiful for our June 11th wedding day.In other news...
I'm chugging along on the basement makeover. The floor is almost complete, the walls have been painted and I just finished removing the carpet and 997 staples from the steps. I'll be working on sanding and staining the steps this weekend and planning out the wall treatment.
In the meantime, I wanted to give you a little sneak peek and share a couple purchases I've made.
Rug / Table / Pillow / Vase / Plant / Metal Produce Basket (similar, although MUCH more expensive) / Sofa
Can you spot what else I bought?
Did you guess the metal drying rack?
Ding, ding ding!
I was able to snag it for $11.99 and think it's the perfect addition to my vintage server. (Yes, we have a T.V in our dining room) Dinner just wouldn't be the same without Fox News on in the background :)
Happy anniversary! That basement is looking amazing Katie - cannot wait to see the full reveal!!!
ReplyDeleteThat rack is so cute!
ReplyDeleteI love posts like this! Your basement is looking amazing and I love that mug stand! I may just need to snag one for myself... ;)
