Vintage Winter Cabin Room

Tour a winter cabin room decorated in cozy rustic vintage decor! It's the fourth quarter in retail, so my days have been spent at Lily & Birch Market preparing for our Holiday Kickoff Market!  A few months ago, I helped design and stage a vintage cabin room, and we gave it a winter refresh this week. We thrifted, hunted, and handpicked every detail of this cozy corner, which includes natural elements, wood tones, wool textiles, and plaids for the perfect cabin vibe.  Head to thrift stores , scroll Facebook Marketplace, bid on auctions, and shop antique stores to create a cozy space with vintage winter cabin decor basics. VINTAGE WINTER CABIN BASICS - Vintage tartan thermoses and coolers (Stanley, Thermos, Skotch)  - Vintage metal oil lanterns (red and black) - Soft plaid flannel sheets - Wool blankets (Pendelton, Faribo, Hudson Bay) - Vintage board games (Bingo, Parcheese, Checkers) - Vintage and antique wood furniture  - Natural elements (antlers, taxidermy, pinecones, l...

The Best Neutral Fall Stems and Foliage

The best dried foliage and neutral faux fall stems! It's finally September and officially time to transition from summer to fall decor.  One of my favorite ways to change my decor from season to season is swapping out faux stems.  During the spring and summer, I display my favorite realistic greenery stems .  Once the days get shorter and the weather cools, I swap the green stems for neutral dried and faux fall stems.  It's an easy and effective way to update decor for the cooler fall season.  I'm a big fan of filling my home with live houseplants .  I also like mixing and displaying dried foliage and faux florals for fall.  Unfortunately, some of my favorite artificial fall stems were bought wholesale and aren't available to the general public, however, I searched high and low for great alternatives.  Afloral is one of my favorite websites for sourcing high-end  realistic faux greener y.  They use high-quality materials and offer the best botanical decor from wrea...

Favorite Neutral Pots and Planters From Walmart

Update your home for spring with neutral pots and planters from Walmart!  It's that time of year when I'm incapable of walking out of Home Depot or Walmart without buying a new pot or planter.  I can't help it.  I naturally gravitate to the plant section and have little self-control when it comes to plants. It doesn't help that Walmart has a great selection of affordable plants and neutral pots.   You can always have more houseplants or pretty planters, right? What Walmart planters do I personally own?  Savana Ceramic Planter /  Celeste Plant Stand  /  Everly Resin Rattan Basket  /  Black Round Metal PlanterWith Stand Two years ago, I bought an Everly resin basket planter from Walmart.  It's an indoor/outdoor basket perfect for my Tree Leaf Philodenren.    I keep it outside during the spring and summer and then move it inside during the fall and winter.  I love that it matches and adds beautiful texture to both areas of my home. Unfortunately,  Walmart no longe...
