My style has definetely changed and evolved over the years. I've learned what I like and dislike and I finally feel like I've found my style. It came through trial and error and a few decorating mistakes, but along the way I've also had a few successes, which helped me find my style. It's still a work in progress, but one thing I know for sure is that I love and crave contrast. I tend to mix styles of modern farmhouse and industrial, but one thing that's consistent is contrast. I may not follow traditional decorating "rules" and I may mix styles and trends, but in the end the only thing that matters is what I truly love.
Here's a little advice, follow your heart and forget the rest. The only one who has to love what you do to your home is you!
When it comes to my home decorating with neutrals, specifically black or Iron Ore and white mixed with wood tones, wicker and gold is where my heart is.
I don't follow any rules. My home may not fit any particular style or decorating mold, but in the end I love what I have created and that's all that matters, right? Love what you love, follow your heart and forget the rest.
With that being said, here are a few of my favorite black and white neutrals to bring a little contrast into your home.
I love those sea grass baskets from IKEA! Love your color schemes throughout the house!
