Let's Go Shopping: Walmart Addition

Find out what's new and what caught my eye on my latest Walmart shopping trip. 

It's been a while since I've shared a shopping trip post and since I've been in Walmart every other day picking up last minute school supplies, I thought I would share a few things that caught my eye.   I like to shop small or used whenever possible (after all, I do have a booth at a local vintage barn) but sometimes that's not always an option.   Mixing in unique, free or used decor with new affordable items is a great way to personalize your home for less.  

Walmart has some great decor options and since I'm in there often I thought I would share a few recent finds and decor similar to what I have in my own home.  

I love swapping out and moving throw pillows around in my home and couldn't resist this neutral knobby Aztec pillow. 

         

Walmart really stepped up their game in the rug department with some great affordable options, including this diamond shag rug.  The pattern is very similar to my new living room rug. 

I'm really liking this black and white shag rug too. It has a rubber backing and isn't super high pile, making it perfect for a bathroom or kitchen.

How great is this seersucker fringe edge quilt?  It looks very high end and would be perfect for a kids room or college dorm.

I was pretty shocked at all their great wall clock options.  You know I love old vintage alarm clocks, but I also have a wall clock in almost every room.

I spotted these wood pedestal candle holders in the fall section (I could not find them online), but they are perfect for all year long.  I have similar ones in my thrifted barrister bookcase and rotate them throughout my home.

Of course, I couldn't do a shopping trip post and leave out the fun prints of The Pioneer Women.   I just love the colors in this insulated tote and look, she even has adorable shelf liner.

If your store has a fabric section make sure to check that out too.  They have some really good geometric and modern black and white fabric options.

I didn't see this fiddle leaf in store, but wanted to include it since I'm always looking for affordable faux plants.  Ideally, I'd have real plants in my home, but I can't keep them alive to save my life.

Walmart may not be your first choice when it comes to shopping for home decor, but I hope I opened your mind to see what they have next time you run in for groceries or household supplies.   It can't hurt to just look, right?
