Turn basic Dollar Tree supplies into beautiful rustic and weathered tin vases!
I felt a little crafty the other day, so I headed to Dollar Tree, picked up a few supplies and threw together another Dollar Store DIY!
Using supplies from Dollar Tree, I was able to create my own version of corrugated metal vases I saw on Amazon. These simple DIY weathered vases are perfectly rustic, functional and super affordable!

- HOW TO MAKE RUSTIC TIN VASES -
It's not often that I create a Dollar Store DIY project using almost all Dollar Tree materials. These DIY rustic tin vases are a little different though. Almost all the materials are from Dollar Tree making them a perfect budget-friendly craft project.
STEP ONE:
Cut one cookie sheet into a rectangle. I cut along the textured part of the cookie sheet to ensure I had straight even cuts on all four sides.
STEP TWO:
Apply a decent amount of E6000 to the inside of the cookie sheet then carefully wrap the tin around the glass vase. I used a few rubber bands to hold the cookie sheet in place while the glue dried.
STEP THREE:
Snip the tin at the top of the vase about every half inch and just to the top of the vase. Apply E6000 to each tab then fold down inside the vase.
STEP FOUR:
Using a stiff-bristled brush, dry brush various shades of gray and brown paint onto the tin vase to achieve the perfect weathered look. It works best if you dab the paint onto the vase as opposed to brushing.
Dollar Tree has multiple size round and square vases that you could use to create your own weathered tin vases. Mix three different size vases to create a beautiful budget-friendly rustic centerpiece!
