Simple and Neutral Christmas Home Tour

A super simple and neutral vintage Scandi inspired Christmas home tour!

Hello, welcome to my simple Christmas home tour!

I normally go all out with holiday decorating, but definitely toned it down this year and I'm not mad about that in the least bit.  The house is festive, yet neutral enough to transition to winter and simple enough to not feel cluttered.

I only brought out my favorite Christmas decor then splurged on a few new pieces that I can use year after year.  I hope you enjoy the simplicity as much as I do!

Christmas decorated front porch
The front porch got a little holiday update with a few new additions.  The dead mums were replaced with faux evergreens and I added the vintage-inspired hanging bells that I updated last week to my favorite seasonless eucalyptus wreath.

I already shared the mudroom decorated for Christmas but wanted to include a few shots in case you missed the tour the other week.

**** TIP **** Use fresh greens from your local tree farm or backyard for a simple and free way to spruce up your home for the holidays.
Bottle brush trees and vintage deer
The kitchen is the only place where I added a bit of color and brought out my favorite vintage Santa cookie jar, mugs and thermoses.  Red is not a color I typically decorate with, but I make an exception for my favorite vintage Christmas finds.

Christmas ornaments, vintage brass deer and faux winter greenery finished off the space for the perfect vintage Scandi Christmas vibe.

The bench (HomeGoods) in the kitchen got a touch of winter with a new faux swag from Perspective Design Co. and a few neutral accents.  The pillow was bought wholesale and the suitcase was an auction find.  I also added a few fresh pieces of greenery that I snagged from the ground of our local tree farm.

If you follow me on Instagram then you know I recently painted our dining room, Iron Ore.  It was a spur of the moment decision that I couldn't be happier with.  I didn't do much holiday decorating in the dining room, but I did want to share the new high contrast makeover.

I normally like to create a Christmas gallery wall in the entry, but opted to keep things simple this year and ordered a new vintage inspired Christmas sign from Walls of Wisdom

The rest of the entry table got decorated with a few bottle brush trees, more vintage brass deer and winter greens.

I even added a touch of Christmas to the hall bathroom with the "Oh, Holy Night" sign that I updated in my Instagram stories, winter greens and vintage silver ornaments.

The basement was spared from Christmas decor except for the mantel, which I decorated with stockings, faux greenery, silver deer and a simple vintage window.

The Christmas sign was another new addition ( Hobby Lobby) and fits perfectly above my new Eames inspired lounge chair (auction find).

I kept the Christmas decor simple and neutral this year, but it's definetely my favorite and the most "me" compared to all other years.  I seriously could keep it decorated like this all year long!

How do you decorate for the holidays?  Do you keep it simple or go all out with your decor?
