I've never been a girly girl.
I grew up with an older brother and a neighborhood full of boys.
I played sports, rode bikes and wasn't afraid of getting dirty.
Fashion was never a top priority for me (hello, leggings and hoodies!) and I've always preferred to buy things for my home than for myself. My home is where I spend most of my time and I want it to be a place I love and enjoy.
So when it comes to holiday gifts, I often request and would prefer to receive something for my home than a new sweater or pair of earrings.
Recently, I took a trip to Walmart and picked out a few of my favorite gifts for the home. From storage and textiles to lighting and plants, Walmart Home makes it super easy to shop AND save money.
Mixing vintage and modern is my go-to way to decorate my home and Walmart makes it easy with great modern items that beautifully compliment my vintage finds.
I've had this large round black mirror for a few years now and it's one of my favorite pieces in my home. It compliments many different decor styles and is perfect for a mudroom, entry, bathroom or bedroom. Pretty much anywhere in your home!
Some may think candles are overrated as gifts. Personally, I love burning candles in my home, especially now that the days are shorter and the evenings are cooler.
I have the Soft Cashmere Amber and Warm Leather Amber candles from Walmart and both smell amazing!
The jars are also super stylish and perfect to resue after the candles are done burning.
We added recessed lighting in the kitchen, living room and master bedroom as part of our major kitchen/first-floor renovation, so I don't have much of a need for lamps, but these beauties definitely caught my eye.
I'm drawn to black, white and anything with texture and these textured stripe curtain panels are the perfect of both worlds.

ReplyDeleteI'm definitely more interested in things for my home. I put off clothes shopping because I really don't like it. I walked through the candle aisle at Walmart this week and it smelled so good. Thank you for posting about them. I might need to buy one now!
