Blue and brown vintage decor and fashion finds!
The Lucketts Fall Market is fast approaching, so I'm spending more time on the road thrifting and antiquing.
I must have been in a blue and brown mood last week and unintentionally gravitated toward a collection of curated vintage decor.
I didn't realize it then, but when I got home and laid out a few pieces, I noticed how beautiful and curated they looked.
DO BLUE AND BROWN GO TOGETHER?
Yes! Blue and brown (orange) are opposite on the color wheel making them two colors that naturally complement one another. From fashion to decor, pairing deep cool blue and rich warm brown tones creates a beautiful and undeniable contrast.

I've seen many large white embossed turkey platters while thrifting, but I have never encountered a brown vintage platter. I knew it was old as soon as I saw it and was surprised to see it was marked, McCoy.
I'm always hunting for vintage wool sweaters and loved this blue tone-on-tone one.
My favorite purchase from this trip was a beautiful handmade vintage wool blanket! I was immediately drawn to the texture and detail. It's thick, heavy, and impressively handmade.
This last piece, vintage pheasant needlework artwork ties shades of blue and brown together perfectly.
Of course, I couldn't leave out my favorite vintage-inspired wide-leg jeans because blue jeans go with everything, right?
See how lovely these thrift finds and shades of blue and brown work together?
