Tour a winter cabin room decorated in cozy rustic vintage decor!

It's the fourth quarter in retail, so my days have been spent at Lily & Birch Market preparing for our Holiday Kickoff Market! 

A few months ago, I helped design and stage a vintage cabin room, and we gave it a winter refresh this week.

We thrifted, hunted, and handpicked every detail of this cozy corner, which includes natural elements, wood tones, wool textiles, and plaids for the perfect cabin vibe. 

Head to thrift stores, scroll Facebook Marketplace, bid on auctions, and shop antique stores to create a cozy space with vintage winter cabin decor basics.

VINTAGE WINTER CABIN BASICS

- Vintage tartan thermoses and coolers (Stanley, Thermos, Skotch) 

- Vintage metal oil lanterns (red and black)

- Soft plaid flannel sheets

- Wool blankets (Pendelton, Faribo, Hudson Bay)

- Vintage board games (Bingo, Parcheese, Checkers)

- Vintage and antique wood furniture 

- Natural elements (antlers, taxidermy, pinecones, logs)

VINTAGE WINTER CABIN WALL DECOR 

Antlers, baskets, vintage games, and tennis rackets are unexpected wall decor that add interest and texture.  Create a gallery wall of vintage game boards and antique baskets, or use vintage wood tennis rackets as a unique photo display.

VINTAGE WINTER CABIN COLLECTIONS

Collections of vintage thermoses, coolers, and lanterns make practical and interesting cabin displays.  Create a vignette on a fireplace mantel or fill an antique hutch or cubby with your favorite vintage thermos and lantern collections.  

VINTAGE WINTER CABIN COLORS 

Black, tan, red, and green were evenly displayed throughout the room to keep the eye moving.  The shades of neutrals mixed with fresh and faux greenery are a cozy and calming base for fun pops of red. 

I absolutely love how this space turned out!  I can picture myself lying in the antique spindle bed, sipping hot chocolate from a vintage thermos, a fire roaring in the fireplace while enjoying snow falling outside the window.
